公司于1994年8月在上海证券交易所挂牌，股票简称“哈投股份”，代码600864，总股本21.09亿股，其中哈投集团占36.44%。

       公司主要从事实业投资、股权投资和投资咨询（服务），电力和热力生产供应及法律法规允许公司经营的其它业务。2016年7月，历时一年多的时间，先后完成了哈投股份发行股份购买江海证券百亿资产、50亿元配套资金募集以及江海证券50亿元增资工作。
